I set this bench up in a garden in the front of my home and have received numerous compliments on how nice it looks. It is very solid and well built. The only negative I have is that it was a little tricky getting the four bolts to align with nuts. It came well packed with no scuffs, scrapes or gouges. It adds a touch of elegance to my garden area.Nice bench. Easy to assemble. Unfortunately, the center support for the seat is too thin and broke on the third use (well under weight limit). Repairable, but would only purchase another if this design issue was resolved. This bench is beautiful. I love it on my front porch. However, the first time me and my husband sat on it after a long day in the yard we both heard crack and one of the boards slit right down the middle. We are both smaller people so NOOO reason for this to happen . We did not plop on it , I sat down, then my hubby, and crack , snap , pop 2 splits in the wood one in the arm one in the seat. SO here is my take .... gorgeous bench for the price, as long as no one sits on it and you just want a pretty bench in the yard or on your porch. It looks very expensive until you sit down on it. We wood filled the cracks and will let it sit there, and LOOK pretty , and let the neighbors cat use it for relaxation. We like this bench for looks and comfort, but it wasn't as strong as rated! Three weeks after purchase, my wife and I were sitting on it together when the center crossbar snapped. This bench has a sticker claiming it's rated at 600lb - but the two of us don't even break 300 together! It may have been a defect in the lumber and no fault of the manufacturer, as the break happened right along a screw hole, but it was a disappointing experience for sure. Fortunately no one was hurt and the rest of the bench is still solidly held together.I'm currently in an email conversation with Safavieh to see if they'll send me a replacement part so that I don't have to disassemble and mail the whole thing to Amazon for an exchange. Will update with results of that conversation - stay tuned...It is on my covered front porch, so sturdy enough and comfortable enough for my purpose. It looks wonderful and I have received multiple complements. I don’t know yet if I’ll have to treat the wood due to sun exposure in the summer. All and all, I’d definitely recommend!Sprayed it with weather proofing but not sure how long this will last outdoors. It looks nice but it is more fragile than expected. Not likely to support heavy weight.Nice bench, decent quality and easy to assemble. Color is nice. If you plan to leave it outside in the elementals you might consider spraying it with a protective finish/lacquer before assembling it- not to hard.
